What You'll Do:

  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Act as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are followed on-site and that team members are trained and equipped for safe operations.
  • Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Create, review, and update safety and health plans tailored to each project, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become issues.
  • Safety Training: Provide safety orientation, training, and updates to all employees and subcontractors, ensuring that everyone on-site understands their role in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Compliance Management: Oversee compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and other applicable safety regulations and standards. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Incident Response & Reporting: Investigate any incidents or near misses, implement corrective actions, and create reports that provide actionable insights to improve safety performance.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety Manager or SSHO role, preferably in construction, demolition, or environmental remediation.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1, and other safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and engage team members at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and resolve safety risks before they escalate.
  • Certification as a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), CHST, CSP, or equivalent safety credential is a plus.
